Aloha my friend,
“Aloha” means hello in Hawaiian and Hawaii is where I am this week. This tropical paradise is made up 8 main islands named Hawaii, Maui, Oahu, Kauai, Molokai, Lanai, Niihau and Kahoolawe. I am currently on the island of Hawaii, which is also called the Big Island, to check out a volcano called Kīlauea. This volcano is responsible for making The Big Island bigger and bigger every year by over 40 acres and has been erupting for the past 30 years. Lava flows out of the volcano creating rivers of hot, molten rock. When cooled, this lava creates rock. Sometimes lava can flow across a street creating a big mess for people to clean up.
Time for me to head out. Can’t wait to show you what’s next!
Your Traveling Friend,
Rocket Bear
